Enjoy pristine nature at Pongour Falls, a popular tourist destination and place for many religious festivities. Dropping across a cascade from 40 m (131 ft), the water pours over a layered and terraced wall of rock which reduces its force making the scene look tame and poetic. According to a legend the waterfall silky streams were once hair of a beautiful beast tamer and slabs of rock were fossilized horns of her four obedient white rhinos. The waterfall stretches some 100 m (328 ft) amidst lush greenery and cicada sounds. Observe the falls from a restored royal pavilion if you do not want to walk. Pongour Falls Reviews
Just at 30 min from Danang, I stopped at this waterfall on the way to Mui Ne, and wow, what a beauty ! Moreover, it was quite empty, only few people, and it was so nice to enjoy it in the silence... more »
Spectacular! The day kept on getting better and best. We visited two waterfalls, silk factory, ate some VFC, ate silk worms, had Weasel coffee, visited Chicken Village, and met A Vietnamese lady... more »
Awesome place, almost no tourists because its rather Hard to get There. We took one of the local busses for 24k VND each. Just tell the driver where you wanna go and He'll tell you when to get off. From there it was an hour walk but you could easily get a Taxi as well which takes about 7min to get you to the waterfall. They charge around 20k entry for the waterfall.
Nice place, however a lot of rubbish in areas. Went at the end of dry season and there was still a decent amount of water however would recommend going at the start of dry season
