Benthanh Street Food Market, Ho Chi Minh City

Says opens at 9AM, but until 10AM almost everything was closed and even after, we were only able to try few. What we have tried (rolls in rice paper, egg cakes with prawns, rice noodles) and wasn’t any more tasty than simply grabbing a street food from... a street ;P actually, sometimes you can get much better, served on a pavement. Nevertheless, a wide variety on the market may offer some better options than what we have tried. I would like to come back for fried beef steak spring rolls and a grilled octopus, or/and a grilled squid.

Cheap eats Popular with locals and tourists. Can be crowded around 7pm. Chose your meal then scramble for a seat. Lots of different stalls to try. Interesting and vibrant, but no way deluxe dining. Food quality appears to be good. Practice with chop sticks before you go
