Era Cruises, Hai Phong

Cruise Ship great, Fantastic & attentive staff fun activities awesome buffet dinners & breakfasts. The reason I gave them 4 Stars & not 5 Stars was the room air-conditioning unit was not strong enough for the size of the room and you didn't get a lot of time to yourself and enjoy the room but apart from that I could not fault it. On a side note would be great if they kept the bay clean OMG the amount of rubbish on the water was disgusting

August 2019 Did a lot of research on the different cruise options in Halong Bay and finally chose Era Cruise - totally no regrets! 1. Fast response (even on weekends). Other cruise website had poor or templatised response. Era Cruise had a human touch to the experience. Quick engagement, good response time and very to the point. Other cruise ships have a lot to learn from them. 2. Had one of the newest cruise ships - launched in 2017 and it shows in the rooms. Cleanlines and bed comfort was top notch (could use better pillows though ... minor grouse) 3. Has one of the larger cruise ship rooms size - 500 sq feet (larger than hotel rooms on land). Some of the rooms had private balconies, you could walk in your birthday suite ... just beware of passing ships 😄 4. Good safety + new equipment. Quite impressed with the safety guidelines and safety vest. Even when they dock for guest to swim in the sea, they always had crew monitoring the people in the water. 5. Day boat - thank goodness for air-conditioned areas in the day boat (we went during summer). Day boat facilities - restroom, seats - were very clean and comfortable. It was so clean we slept on the floor after a heavy lunch 6. Food was good (some dishes was pretty good - sweet sour clams, pork ribs, oysters) but can do with a bit more varieties in the meals 7. Crew was very accommodative and friendly. 8. Cinema room was a nice touch, could do with more varieties of movies.
