  • Registan Square consists of the infamous madrasahs from the Timurid dynasty - Ulugh Beg, Tilya-Kori and Sher-Dor. There’s a little fee to enter the premises, but that’s the only way you’ll be able to ...  more »
  • Business card of Samarkand, with three ancient complexes of buildings (madrassa), all of them after a decent restoration (look at the expositions inside the photo, in what form they were 50 years ago!). Of course, from this square it makes sense to start acquaintance with the ancient city, bypassing all three complexes will take half a day at least, then you can go from there on the street of Islam Kartmov to Bibi-Hanum (about 1 km). P.S.: on September 21, 2019 repair work on the square has already been finished, small finishing works are only on the edges of the square and do not interfere.

  • The most iconic architectural structure of Central Asia. A must see in Uzbekistan and central Asia. The outside is really marvelous, huge and impressive. The inside is also spectacular with different kinds of colourful walls. Entrance fees for foreigners is 40000 UZS and for locals only 3000 UZS. Must visit. Highly recommended.
  • This is THE spot to see during any visit to Uzbekistan. The history and the architecture are simply mesmerizing. This is truly a postcard location. Allow at least a couple of hours to enjoy the entirety of this beautiful place.
