See the view from the top of Pan De Azucar, a hill that, with an altitude of 423 m (1,387 ft), represents one of the highest points in the country. Once the site of granite quarrying, this "Sugar Loaf Hill" features a 35 m (115 ft) tall cross, designed by sculptor Juan Zorrilla de San Martin. Go up the spiral staircase that curls up to the cross's horizontal beam to take in extensive views of the surrounding landscape.
