Spa / Wellness · Spa
Take the stairs to the top of Faro de Jose Ignacio, an old lighthouse and a landmark of Punta del Este's coastline. First lit in 1877, the cylindrical stone tower has been well-maintained over the years, and still fulfills its main function: helping vessels navigate safely along the rocky stretch of coast. At 25 m (82 ft) tall, the observation area at the top of the lighthouse offers views of the area, giving you another perspective from which to appreciate the sandy beaches, sea, and rocky outcrops that adorn the coast. Plan your visit to Faro de Jose Ignacio and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Maldonado day trip planning website.
