Untermyer Gardens, Yonkers

This park in Yonkers has seen a transformation over the past decade! It was once the property of a prominent, wealthy and forward thinking couple with spectacular views of the Hudson. Now after a few decades of neglect and despair, the park is beautiful with winter programs, lights, music and events throughout the year. There is a non profit helping restore the grounds to its former glory. It has spectacular mosaics and is a great place to stroll and look out at the magnificent Hudson valley and river.

Very beautiful garden in Yonkers for free to visitors thanks to city of Yonkers. I wish they start charging fee so entire garden can be brought back to its former glory. Some part of garden is renovated but some part need some serious help and that can only achieved by bringing revenue for renovation by charging nominal fees. Parking is limited but if you wait, someone will come out soon. Garden provides immense photo possibilities.
