Luceline Orchard, Watertown

We just got back from the orchard and both my kids dropped into bed exhausted. There was so much for them to do - corn maze, corn pit, playground, tires and hay bales to play on, a petting zoo, a “train” ride, the hay ride... This orchard is small enough that I let my kids run around without feeling like they’d get lost in the crowd, but there was so much to do! Only a few activities cost money and there is no admission fee. Most importantly, the apple fritters are HEAVENLY. I had my doubts, but as soon as I sampled one, I knew that all apple fritters will now be compared to this one...and likely fall far short. Fried to crispy perfection on the outside, covered in cinnamon and sugar, light fluffy insides, and a soft tart apple right in the middle. They also offer adult beverages and lots of food options (hot dogs, burgers, curds, etc) which is nice. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. The event they put on tonight - bluegrass music and a star gazing event - was phenomenal and far exceeded my expectations. Not even an overcast sky could dampen the fun we had here. We usually go apple picking once a year, but we will be back for sure! I’ll be getting more apple fritters (and apples) and definitely pick pumpkins in October. Dang what a fun place.

Absolutely amazing. There is so much to do there. From a great nature walk to a corn pit for the kids and animals, even a play ground for them for free. You are also able to do a corn maze and hay ride for a small fee. The food is great. We had some hot cider and caramel apples. Next time we arr picking our own apples. I can't wait to go again.
