The inscription wall contains 14 quotes from some of King’s speeches, writings, and sermons. Site tours are available throughout the day. Parking is very limited near the memorial. • What a great place to visit! Monument is beautifully sculpted and situated at a very nice place. Benches besides water have a nice view to sit down and relax with family. It was a hot summer day when we visited and a gentleman offered us cold water bottles. I am very thankful to the people of United States of America. Very loving, kind and hospitable people. Would definitely visit US again :)
  • The statue of Dr King is an amazingly conceived and executed piece of art that beautifully captures the quote it carries - "Out of a mountain of despair, a stone of hope." His quotes around the background wall exemplify and capture the deep, thoughtful and intentional nature of a man who was as deeply committed to the love of his country as he was to justice and equality for all - here then is a paragon of civil disobedience, one that many today would do well to learn from and emulate - "only LOVE can drive out HATE"
