Walk through the cabins of a British Airways Concorde and the “flying Oval Office” of four presidents at The Museum of Flight, the largest private air and space museum in the world. The museum's world-class collection of nearly 150 aircraft includes a B-17F Flying Fortress bomber, a Lockheed M-21 Blackbird, and a Lockheed model like the one Amelia Earhart piloted when she disappeared over the Pacific. Other highlights include the world's first fighter plane, built in 1914, and one of only two remaining airworthy Douglas DC-2s. Within the museum is the restored “Red Barn,” Boeing’s original manufacturing plant. To take advantage of discounts offered to returning visitors, consider purchasing a "return trip" ticket, valid for up to seven days. The Museum of Flight reviews
It was a bit surreal looking at these artifacts from the moon. My dad was involved with testing of the rocket engines back in the day. It’s first class all the way at this place. The whole family... more »

It was a big line of people to get in. But the exhibits did not disappoint. Many fascinating parts and factoids from the erstwhile Apollo and Space Shuttle missions. Well worth seeing and contemplating. Was it all justified? Or was it the next step? However, it is satisfying to see the courage of the men and women who rode those "ballistic missiles" to space and to the moon with 1960s and 1970s technology. In all, an impressive exhibit of the Apollo 11 artifacts and the Space Shuttle.
We love the Museum of flight and all the interesting programs they offer for kids. The recent Apollo exhibit was amazing and quite awe inspiring when you realized you were looking at things that had been in space, or even come from the moon, like the rock sample. How cool! You must plan several hours, or really multiple visits to begin to see everything at the museum. It's all very interesting and there is a lot to see.
