At Exploratorium, observe a fruit fly under a microscope, create smoke signals, improve your memory, or learn about the world through experiments. You can join in 600 participatory exhibits suitable for all ages at this museum of science, art, and human perception. Take an excursion in total darkness, where you'll have to find the way out using only your sense of touch. More than a million visitors per year come to this site, which has been recognized by the National Science Board of the United States. To explore the outdoor section, dress accordingly. הגענו 2 מבוגרים ו2 ילדים בני 10,13, לכולם היה ממש ממש מעניין, בילינו שם 3 שעות, הלכנו רק כי היינו רעבים. המון פעילויות, בכל דבר אפשר לגעת ולהתנסות, כמובן שצריך לתרגם לילדים הסברים והוראות אם אינם מבינ... more »We got two adults and 2 children aged 10, 13, everyone was really, really interesting, we spent three hours there, we only went because we were hungry. Many activities, in any case, can be touched and experienced, of course it is necessary to translate to children explanations and instructions if they do not understand English. This place is brilliant. I will come back multiple times. The exhibits are more interesting and better quality than any government funded science centre I've ever been to–and I've been to dozens. The "science" is great for adults and enough exhibits to keep kids busy for days. The "light and visual" section is outstanding. π
This place instantly became one of my favorite places, ever! I was amazed and entertained all the 4 hours I spent there on their Thursday After Dark events. I could easily have spent a couple more hours and it still might have not been enough to see/try it all. It's just so much fun to interact with everything and get a better understanding of how things work. I simply love it and I'll definitely come back if I ever have the chance.
