Want more than day of fishing? Stay overnight at the park’s motel, campground or cabins. Want to do something other than fish? Montauk State Park’s hiking trails will take you in and around the scenic park. Guests can also enjoy a tour of Montauk Mill, which was built in 1896.

The state park system is composed of 88 parks and historic sites managed by the Dept. of Natural Resources for the benefit of all Missourians. My family and I visited Montauk recently and enjoyed our time there. Due to it being in the off season the restaurant and other ammenities were not open, but we enjoyed seeing the springs and other..... more »

Nice place to fish for stocked and plentiful trout. This park is appropriate for all ages with opportunities to fish still and moving water. more »

The faculties were nice the only reason I gave a 4 star is because of the “campground host.” He drove by us at least two times on his golf cart and didn’t say a word. He waited until we left to go fishing to put a note on our door telling us we weren’t on the pad the right way (see photos). If he would had the fortitude just to tell us instead of just watching us a simple 3 min fix could have been done. Instead he waited. We had to pull everything in at that point to move the trailer 3 feet.

Beautiful scenery beautiful drive in. Go see the spring close flat walk. The battery is neat feeding the fish. Trout fishing was fun. Great campgrounds electric only with dump stations.
