Charleville Vineyard & Winery, Sainte Genevieve

I still can't get over how amazing this winery b&b was! We lucked out and had the cabin to ourselves, which was one of the most refreshing places I've ever been. The cabin was my favorite part. Looking out the east side of the cabin is like something out of a movie. It overlooks the vineyard and the rolling hills. The sunrise is picturesque. This place is like a safe haven from technology.. There was poor cell reception, there wasn't a television, there were no distractions. The breakfast was delicious, the owner was accommodating and friendly. While they were closed for dinner when we got there, she did recommend a wonderful winery down the road that served top notch food and had a friendly cat! If you're looking for a romantic getaway where you can reconnect with your partner or get back in touch with yourself, this is definitely the place to go!

I’m giving one star for the Scenery. I was there for the first time with a group of girlfriends. We were staying close by in a wonderful cabin that we specifically chose to visit the local wineries. Each winery was wonderful except for this one. The people working there were rude and unpleasant. It was our worst experience ever. They acted as if they were put out when we were asking questions about their products. We were told we couldn’t order a Pizza at 4:00 when their menu said they serve until 5:00. Then 20 minutes later we were told we could order. After ordering our Pizza we waited 1hr and 15 minutes and were told our order was lost. At which point, they made the pizza and it was ready in 15 minutes. They should have compensated us for the delay. As we were leaving the lady with long Red hair very sarcastically told us to “Enjoy Our Stay” as she walked past us. We will never patronize this Winery again. And we’ll be sure to share our experience with any friends or family heading to the Area. I’ve struggled with leaving this review as it is the first negative review I’ve ever given. I typically try to give people the benefit of doubt. However We’ve taken multiple trips together and have never been treated so rudely. With that being said, I would skip this Winery if you’re in the area. All the other establishments are very friendly and treat you as if you are Family!
