Great place to visit and learn about history! There's a fabulous First Ave exhibit happening through 2020. A must see for music lovers! Open House: If these Walls Could Talk was excellent!! The house tells a story from the original owners to present day. Awesome! Friendly staff. Amazingly detailed, interactive and well thought-out exhibits. Parking lot or metered parking available. Lots of benches throughout the building for those who cannot walk far. Well worth the admission price!! Restaurant within the building as well as a great gift shop.
I enjoy the history center every time I visit. They have marvelous exhibits which focus on something here in Minnesota. I specifically went this time to see the First Avenue exhibit. Although it was interesting, I felt it insufficient. I expected more materials from local artists who grew to fame. The mislabeled guitar really was annoying. It clearly says it is a Les Paul model on the headstock and to label it a Junior is a joke. I expect better. The video were great, I could have used more.
