  • The museum has incredible train cars, engines, and memorabilia. The exhibits show life around the railroad, including stores, how trains worked, models for kids to play with, and unusual railroad cars that can often be climbed on, as volunteers are there for visitors to talk to about the cars. For railroad fans, the museum has all three geared engines, historical diesel-electric engines, and an engine that you can go underneath so you can see how the breaks and boiler works. It's a must see...and easy to visit the neighboring railroad for a train ride. Definitely go, learn, and enjoy!
  • Third time to visit. The collection of equipment is well housed and much time, effort, and money has been expended to preserve it. There are exhibits for all age groups. Several docents are around to explain different aspects of the railroad rolling stock and the sub systems that supported operations. Make sure to go out in the yard if it is open. There are several interesting engines and cars out there and a round table. The yard is easy to miss if you do not know about it ahead of your visit.
