War Eagle Mill, Rogers

4.3
#1 of 16 in Things to do in Rogers
Architectural Building · Tourist Spot
The site of the state's only working water-powered mill, War Eagle Mill has survived destruction multiple times and today produces its own brands of organic, stone-ground grains. Though the building burned several times, its 1973 reconstruction restored it to operational condition. Stock up on some flour or cereal created with the help of the building's 5.5 m (18 ft) wooden water wheel. Take a look at the mill's museum, full of antique household items dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries. For some real homestyle cooking, visit the restaurant for homemade waffles, coleslaw, beans, cornbread, and more. Make War Eagle Mill a centerpiece of your Rogers vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Rogers online driving holiday planner.

  • I found this to be a quaint little store. It has lots of handcrafted items inside. Many yummy treats. For those who haven't seen one, there is a working grain mill operated by the water wheel in the river. Just travel over the one lane bridge to their parking lot
  • Beautiful little mill that has a department store and a restaurant in the top. Picturesque location with amazing views. They sell lots of local produce like jams, grains, breads and a lot more. The restaurant has a very basic menu though consisting of sandwiches and salads which are pretty good. It's a nice halfway stop between Eureka springs and Bentonville, Arkansas.
