  • Nice roundtrip three mile walk to Rome Point to view the harbor seals on the main beach trail and back took the rt past the power lines.. The marine biologist with our group counter 137. He said that....  more »
  • Otherwise known as Rome Point, it's a short leisurely 10" walk from the John H. Chafee Nature Preserve's parking lot to the beach, where we were hoping to be lucky enough to spy some harbor seals...  more »
  • fire island who? this gay beach is incredible - bring your pup (or your pup) and have a lovely day! the walk is about 20 mins from the parking lot but is fairly flat and easy through some beautiful trees. beach is rocky with patches of sand.
