  • Had a very nice one night stay with my family on a road trip. Checking in was easy, rooms were nice and the view was great. Hiking was a lot of fun, found a lot of types of mushrooms and the two trails I went on were very different from each other. Restaurant was very nice, with good service and a great view. Couple things I would recommend is having a small fridge in the rooms, as well as some of the trails could have used a little more maintenance. But overall, would go again and would recommend others who love nature and hiking to visit.
  • This is a hidden gem. The historic lodge is a nice surprise. The staff was friendly and the rooms clean. Even the restaurant was good, which you don't expect at state lodges. Its a beautiful park with hiking trails and scenic overlooks. We have been in January and July and plan to go back for fall colors.
