Tahquamenon Falls State Park reviews
After living in Michigan for several decades I finally got to see the famous Tahquamenon Falls and scratch it off my bucket list. After a long drive on route 123 to get here I was surprised to see... more »
We visited the state park on the 4th of July. The weather was quite hot but beautiful. Be sure to arrive early to ensure a good parking spot and avoid lines. We visited the upper falls first and then.... more »
I can not begin where to begin. The common area has a gift shop, food court, and beer stand. The outside seating is set under these huge canopies with an outside fireplace in the middle canopy. Though it's not enough to keep your food warm, it really enhances the ambiance to the fullest. As you head out, the trails are groomed and the viewing areas are clear. The trail for the lower viewing is closed in winter. But the amount of foot prints suggest many people still venture down. I for one was one of those and it was just as good. Before you even get to the viewing areas, you many points where water has been flowing through the rock and frozen in It's place. It is amazing all the work that gets put in for people to be able to enjoy the park and especially the falls in winter time. I look forward to visiting again in the summer! 😎
Another beautiful Michigan ⛲. Lovely hike. Also have visited here twice. To all the beer drinkers, they do have a reward so to say at the top of the falls 😉 their own brewery. I no longer drink, but their beer was tasty at the time. They also have a gift shops next to the brewery.
