#1 of 7 in Things to do in Orange City
Swim, camp, dive, fish, go kayaking, and take a real jungle expedition at Blue Spring State Park, an ancient home of the Timucuan tribe. Stretching over 1,000 hectare (2,600 acre) of land, this park offers an array of eco-activities. Fifty-one camp sites, 27 of which are equipped with electricity, can be reserved if you plan on staying longer. Even a few air-conditioned cabins in the woods are available. While swimming is popular, it is not allowed during the season when manatees are present. Also, when the park reaches full capacity, no one may enter until space opens up, so you are advised to arrive early. Put Blue Spring State Park into our Orange City travel itinerary planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Beautiful springs with lots to do. Campground has great, secluded and shady sites. Park has affordable rentals for kayaking, snorkeling, scuba and plenty more. Camp ground host was very helpful and nice when we needed help getting from the campground to the springs. Only thing to remember is to get there early if not camping, the park is known to get to capacity quickly. We were unable to go here on our first attempt in August cause they were full by 10 AM.
  • Oh I love the Springs! When we went it was super hot. The cool water was exactly what we needed to cool off. Before we left we walked around a bit. We got to see the Manatees!! The sun starting sink down it was the most beautiful day.
