  • I’ve lived in Connecticut for 31 years and just visited the Florence Griswold Museum for the first time this summer. It was such a treat! Aside from the beautiful scenery you can witness outside of the museum, the exhibits were phenomenal! The Krieble Gallery is a modern museum that is currently showing the Naturalist Contemporary Art exhibit, which spills over into the Florence Griswold House in the form of Jennifer Angus’ insect art which is truly MIND-BLOWING! The juxtaposition of the contemporary art displayed in/on the period house of Miss Florence really makes the house feel like it’s still alive. Worth the visit!
  • Came here with a friend one day and we enjoyed ourselves looking at the art and the gardens. It was great to learn about the art community in this town and how it came to be. We enjoyed the gardens and saw a variety of butterflies here. We were also surprised to learn that the grounds are more spread out than was originally thought. $10 admission for adults, free parking, and a cafe on the premises.
