The 1.6 km (1 mi) path, stretching from Perkins Cove to Ogunquit Beach, hugs the quaint artist community of Ogunquit, full of seaside eateries and shops. Zip up your windbreaker and head out on foot along the scenic trail to admire the dramatic rocky coastline dotted with lighthouses and whitewashed cottages. Stop for a warm cup of New England clam chowder at the famous Cliff House in town before you leave. Due to the area’s high parking fees, plan to park in town and catch a local trolley to the coast.
