  • I love rocks and geology so this place was amazing for me. We showed up early and do the rock pile dig which is fun you dig through the piles of rocks that they have can purchase anything that you find and like. We also checked out the display cases that they had in the office. There were many different stones you never really see around this area. Before you actually get to the mine you see there expansive display cases which have hundreds of beautiful gems and stones from across the world. The mine was nice it was in good condition easy to traverse and still had much of the old equipment left for display. The like I'm the mine was beautiful and they still have the set from where the mine scene in Zoolander was shot in the mine. This place is a great time for they kids or any rock enthusiast.
  • Great time.. nice museum.. a lot of history and things to do for all ages.. although my sister and myself went at night for a ghost tour of the mines.. which was very good, well organized and very active.. the whole place had a good vibe.. want to go back soon
