  • I’ve been a regular visitor to the Bethany Beach area for over a decade and this summer was the first time I found out about James Farm! I visited twice, once with my fiancé and once with family...  more »
  • My boys and I visited briefly while traveling through the area. It was recommended by a friend. So glad we checked it out! The trails through the woods are clean, well-maintained, and easy to walk...  more »

  • A great place to swim and walk around. Trails in very good condition, and you can actually swim out very far until you cannot stand. You can see a lot of horseshoe crabs as well as other wildlife, like clams. Overall, I like this place a lot because it is a hidden gem, and not discovered by the public yet. A great place overall.
  • I have been taking my dogs to this park to run in the bay water off leash for years. I am extremely disappointed this year. There are several signs advising that dogs must be leashed at all times. So many families bring there dogs here and it has always been a great and friendly experience but apparently they no longer allow dogs to run in the water or down the beach. While I am extremely disappointed the paths are well kept and the park is clean. When a beach/park/town says they are dog friendly they typically allow dogs off leash. For anyone reading reviews and looking for a “dog friendly” beach , Dewey beach is a dog friendly beach town. Off season dogs can run off leash at anytime and in season dogs can be off leash before 9:30am and after 5:30pm. Unfortunately, this beach is not nice enough to come to without a dog but if you are just looking to walk the trails it is nice. If anyone else feels the way I do, I ask that you voice your opinion here and see if we can allow dogs to run free again at least at the beach.
