  • It's a fairly lightly trafficked area to stop along to get out and stretch your legs. Ladder Creek Falls is a very well maintained short jaunt. It's .4 miles each way so it hardly counts as a hike but it's cool to see the powerhouse and take in the surrounding mountains.
  • Loved walking through the garden area and seeing the waterfall. We went during the day and then at night when they turn on the lights. The waterfall at night is pretty. On Thursday and Friday they do a guided walk to the falls and you can sign up for the chicken dinner. We weren't there on those days but the lights are on every night. Definitely a must if you are in the Newhalem area.
