We went to Woodland Lake with our four kids under 11 and our dog. We absolutely loved it. It was so hard to leave. August turned out to be a great time of year for it. Mosquitoes weren’t bad. We went.... more »

I love seeing dogs on leashes and people cleaning up after their dogs, but it’s not OK to leave bags of poop on the side of the trail because some are going to get forgotten or an animal is going to get into it. We picked up 6 on the way back from Lost Lake and some had been out for more than a day. Not cool!

Awesome little day trip to the lake portion of the hike. Super beautiful. Go on weekdays, weekends are going to be insane busy. Park in the boundaries of you'll certainly get a ticket. Great camping.
