I truly enjoyed both tours. They both acknowledged the contribution of the slaves to the success of the plantation as well as point out some of the atrocities of slave life and "freedom". The tour guide for the slave tour was AWESOME!!! She educated MANY people on the tour about the life of slaves and how much the plantations, not just Belle Meade, depended on the slaves in order to be as successful as they were. She did it with such class☺. I definitely recommend the slave tour. If you are one of the many who does not understand the life of a slave, Belle Meade "Jubilee Tour" will give you a little insight.☺

Beautiful place. Been visiting for the past 20 years anytime I'm in the Nashville area. Piece of living history. Was great to share with my husband and 3 children this past summer. Looking forward to going during Christmas. The whole place is decorated like you were alive during that time.
