Clam Pass Park, Naples

#6 of 98 in Outdoors in Naples
Beach · Hidden Gem · Park
Encompassing 14.2 hectares (35 acres) of mangrove forest, coastal dunes, and a white sandy beach, Clam Pass Park provides opportunities for exploration and relaxation. Its peaceful location away from the road means the beach is only accessible via a 1.2 km (0.75 mi) boardwalk running through a mangrove forest. Enjoy a nature stroll along the pass or catch the tram that runs throughout the day. From the boardwalk through this typical southwestern Florida ecosystem, you can spot three different species of mangrove tree, colorful butterflies, and an array of birds. At the beach, unwind on the soft sand or paddle in the clear water. Concession stands offer chair and umbrella rentals, food, and drinks. • The boardwalk was lovely and we saw many birds. The beach was beautiful, but the sand fleas chewed us up. We have little, red, itchy bites all over our legs and ankles.  more »
  • This has always been a favorite beach. However, the shuttle service to the beach favors the hotel guests and does not come often enough to pick up the rest of us. We understand that the hotel...  more »
  • Very cool experience. Private parking location that offers the choice of walking to the beach or riding in an electric golf cart. At the end of the boardwalk there is a small bar with bathrooms. Stairs or handicap accessible access to the beach where one can experience fabulous sunsets over the gulf. No alcohol permitted on this section of the beach but people can bring food and other drinks.
  • Perfect Family Beach Park! Has a great little kayak launch. Paddle to the end of Clam Pass to the Gulf or take the provided transportation to the beach. Not a very long walk otherwise, maybe 1/3 mile. Great spot for fishing too. Naples Grand Hotel is just next door so grab a bite or stay the night! $8 entrance fee unless you are a Collier County resident with a beach parking pass. -Just Go, It's Worth every penny! Lots of nature and widelife as well.
