The Mulberry Phosphate Museum is located in Mulberry in Polk County, Florida. Located in the city's original railroad depot, the museum was established in 1986. Exhibitions include fossils, memorabilia and exhibits about the phosphate mining industry. In 2013 it added a recently discovered 1880s-vintage phosphate locomotive.

  • Went here with my folks for a day trip from Fort Myers and was pleasantly surprised. There are restrooms located right at the parking lot and a "spoil pile" from the phosphate mines that is near the.....  more »
  • The phosphate museum was small but extremely informative and interesting. We learned a lot about the mining industry as well as what they put back into the area mined. I think they have gotten a bad.....  more »
  • Awesome. Amazing how the phosphate industry has grown and thrived in Florida. Would love to come back and hunt for shark teeth. A lot of history and fossils.
  • Nice little museum,some very cool bones and fossils. The shark tooth dig was disappointing, I remember taking my children 20 years ago and they were able to find quite a few.This time it was really hard and the kids lost interest pretty quick.
