This is one of my favorite places to visit on a weekday when there are less people. It is a great place to see wildlife—from eagles to water fowl to river otters and rabbits. You may even get lucky and see an owl. The trail that winds around the slough is even and the views are beautiful. It is a lovely place to get a little exercise, bird watch, and just enjoy nature.

The bird life is amazing and music to the ears. As an added bonus a huge otter darted across the path going from the canal to the marsh not 10 feet in front of me. I was too stunned to even think about snapping a pic. I will be visiting again soon!
