Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, Mount Vernon

A must visit when in Skagit County in the spring. Lots of beautiful colors! Plan ahead. Know the routes in and out of the area before you head up. Take back roads. I don't recommend parking on the street as a way to avoid paying for parking. I watched an officer walk up down a stretch of road ticketing every car with a tire on or over the painted line. Just pay for parking and don't risk it.

Tulips festival happens every year in month of April and must visit place. Plan to visit in 2nd week of the festival so that you can see whole field after that they start reaping the flowers. You get to see many varieties of tulips and this place is surrounded with stunning views. Lot of food options available. Huge parking place and friendly staff. Must visit place !!!
