Improvements and expansion of Little Mountain Park are provided by a public-private partnership between the Mount Vernon Parks Foundation and the City of Mount Vernon. All of the work is coordinated by a small group of individuals who are extremely passionate about the quality and accessibility of local parks and trails. Individuals and community organizations are invited to volunteer with trail construction and maintenance. Great place for short hikes. Various types of terrain, with some very difficult areas. The trail "Up Only" is a very good challenge. Heck of a workout.

Great trails. Super cool to have this kind of habitat in our own back yard. Once you get into the trees the valley almost disappears entirely.
