Chain of Lakes, Minneapolis

Gorgeous area. You can walk around or do joga. Bring your hammock or have a picnic there. Perfect for canoeing and paddle boarding.

Lake of the Isles is one of three large lakes. It was explained to me that the land was donated with the condition that there would be no development a certain distance from the water. This creates a wilderness feel essentially in the middle of the residential part of the city.The road rings the lake. The houses appear to be rather mansion like. I visited during the winter but it is obvious that this is a great outdoor attraction similar to Mount Royal in my native Montreal.If you are visiting the city for business this is a great place to go for a jog or a bike ride.
