Quiet, not crowded. Would get 5 stars if had a flush toilets and showers. Water is right there so could be done.

As with a lot of Missouri's State Parks this one offers primitive camping and excellent hiking trails. If you are feeling up to it, the 14.5 mile one way trail to Johnson Shut Ins is challenging and fun. Plan on a minimum of at least 7+ hours to hike this trail. I recommend starting at Taum Sauk and hiking down rather than up.
