  • With a short 1.47 mile track with lots of curves narrow roads and elevation change makes for very fast, tight and exciting racing. The spectators have a picnic area (instead of being forced to sit in uncomfortable grandstands) on a hill affording wonderful views of the race track. Very relaxed viewing and if you are into camping, there is a camp ground within the in field. The track is nestled in a scenic part of Connecticut making even the drive to the track enjoyable. There is not enough trees to comfortably shade everyone so it would be a good idea to bring some thing to shade yourself, especially during the summer months. Unless you arrive in a camper, it can be quite a distance to the facilities depending on where you situate yourself. For extra cost you can park in the in field which cuts down on the time it takes to get back to your car after the race. There is free parking, and the walk to the in field isn't too far. Be prepared to do some walking. I suggest making your way along the edge of the track during race time as the elevation changes mean you will experience different views of the race cars making for a better experience.
