Samuel P. Taylor State Park is a state park located in Marin County, California. It contains approximately 2,700 acres (11 km2) of redwood forest and grassland. The park contains about 600 acres (2.4 km2) of old-growth forest, some of which can be seen along the Pioneer Tree Trail.

  • Beautiful and lush smaller park. Great for a smaller hike- we did a total of 3 mile walk. It was beautiful and relatively quiet.  more »

  • Great redwood forest. Large hollow stumps are great to play in for kids. Benches and grills available. The weather is nice. A bit of a hike, and there's a creek nearby. It's full of little critters, fun for the whole family!
  • First visit for a first birthday party. I was initially shocked at the crowd. Yes it was a Saturday and the weather was lovely but.... then we learned our host had reserved a private place across the highway and down the road a bit. Beautiful spot near the creek with tables. A wonderful place to gather family.
