The Kansas City Missouri Temple is the 137th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It is the first to be built in the Greater Kansas City area. Previous attempts at building an LDS temple in the area failed in Independence in 1833 and Far West in 1838, after church founder Joseph Smith had selected and dedicated locations for their construction. Absolutely stunning . The immaculate grounds were so perfectly planned out with the most gorgeous combo of plants,flowers and grasses. The fountain just tops it off. A beautiful area to live and retire in also. We just felt it was breathtaking. A must see for sure.

Beautiful building. Step inside the front doors to see a beautiful stained glass window of the tree of life behind the desk. Definitely worth seeing even if you don't have a recommend and can't go any further into the building.
