Avenue of the Giants, Humboldt County

This 50 km (31 mi) scenic drive wends its way through the towering redwoods of Humboldt Redwoods State Park, home to the biggest group of virgin redwoods in the United States. Follow the avenue through the dark and looming forest alongside the Eel River, and catch glimpses of ferns and douglas fir.
