The Butler-McCook Homestead is a historic house museum at 396 Main Street in Hartford, Connecticut. Built in 1782, it is one of the city's few surviving 18th-century houses. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It is now operated as the Butler-McCook House & Garden by Connecticut Landmarks.

  • This household might have been an interesting tour, but the staff was not terribly knowledgable, and the top floor was not open to the public. The gardens are fantastic, though!  more »

  • Truly an Oasis in the middle of a City Desert(Concrete Jungle), with a beautiful assortment of flowers, bushes, and trees, it is another world inside the city of busy businessmen, we need to slow down and smell the rosesπŸ˜πŸ––β€πŸ™
  • This was my first visit to the Butler McCook House. The garden is beautiful. I was surprised at the amount of Chinese artifacts that were there in addition to the New England treasures!
