Greensboro Downtown Parks Inc. is a non-profit organization in partnership with the City of Greensboro, Center City Park and LeBauer Park. The mission of GDPI is to serve as the executive management of Greensboro’s downtown parks, focusing on public activation, maintenance, financial well-being and overall vitality.

Carolyn Weill LeBauer passed away in March 2012, leaving her estate to The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro for the creation of a new public park in Downtown Greensboro. As part of this generous bequest, Carolyn directed her estate to be used “for the creation of a public park for the benefit and enjoyment of the general population of Greensboro, particularly children and their families.” The park opened August 8, 2016!

  • Loads of things all stuffed into a tiny little Park in downtown Greensboro. This is a great spot to stop and relax. Nice coloured seats.  more »

  • It was pretty cool. There was a band playing that was really good. All different people of different ages enjoying it all together. Kids had a really neat play area nearby. There were only two vendors though one was for Hawaiian Ice and the other was hot dogs. More food trucks would've been nice if there was an outdoor festival a few blocks away. It was clean, not too loud but just loud enough. It was just an enjoyable area and an enjoyable time.
  • My little one always has a great time at this park. Great family atmosphere. Excellent place to let your little ones roam free. There's always something going on in the surrounding areas so every weekend is a new experience.
