You'll earn a magnificent view from atop the peak, but mind that the ascent is tough, with trail lengths ranging from 7.9 km (4.9 mi) to 14.3 km (8.9 mi). Once you've completed the hike, have a meal and rest at the mountaintop lodge, renowned for its hospitality among visitors. Wear adequate footwear for the hike and prepare for sudden weather changes.     I hiked to Mt Leconte via the Trillium Gap. Not gonna lie it was a long hike. Very beautiful and peaceful. Took me all day to get to the top and back. Some nice small waterfalls along the way. I...  more »
