This is a very pretty overlook on the Cape Royal drive and definitely worth the stop. There were very few people here when we stopped off. There are also some ancient ruins nearby. more »

Breathtaking views! The drive in to the north rim is long, coming down from Kanab or Page. It is well worth it as you pass through miles of Pine Forest. It's very peaceful, and the top of the rim is almost like a park in some areas. Heed the warning signs regarding safety as many people have fallen to their deaths along Grand Canyon. If hiking into the Grand Canyon be sure to follow all of the guidelines as it is a lot bigger and more dangerous than it looks if driving in allow most of the day to visit the scenic overlooks and hike to them.
