Coors Brewery Reviews
This is such a fun thing to do if you have about 2 hours to spend in Golden! The tour is self guided and short, with a beer sample halfway through and several more at the end of the tour. This was..... more »
Our group of 6 wanted to stop to check this place out before heading up the hill to Black Hawk, and Central City. It was a fun tour, and loved the small sample at the end. Fun time indeed if you... more »
If you don’t mind the long wait then this tour is totally worth it. It is self guided with those little phones you put up to your ear and a narrator walks you through the brew process and in great detail. If you are a fan of beer and how it’s made then this is something you’ll enjoy. Even my wife found it very interesting. Also at the end they give you 3 8oz samples of what’s on tap and a commemorative glass (which is actually good quality and worth keeping). If you’re a brew nerd or just enjoy drinking then check this out!
We arrived for the tour at 1:45 pm on a Sunday and parked in their free lot to ride the shuttle to the brewery. The line for the shuttle is outside and the day we went was windy and cold, so our 1 hour and 15 minute wait was rather unpleasant. Only three shuttles were running and about 15 people fit on each bus. The bus takes you on a five minute tour of Golden even though the brewery is next door to where you park. While on the bus I did see some people just walking the path in and it didn’t seem like they had any issues getting in, even though the shuttle provides you with a ticket that they say you must show once arriving in the brewery. The woman ringing us up didn’t seem to care about it. Once arriving at the brewery we waited in another line before we were able to start the tour. The tour itself is informative and very interesting. I think it’s a good value considering you get 3 8 oz pours at the end. Worth checking out, but I would try arriving early to avoid long lines.
