  • A very nice and clean beach, the "Folly Beach", pretty close to Charleston, SC. It's definitely a beautiful place for surfing, swimming or just walking among the beach with your friends and family. I personally recommend the gorgeous sunrises in the morning. Next to the beach there are also some markets to buy souvenirs and restaurants to enjoy local food.
  • Beach is clean and lots of open beach so there’s plenty of room for people to spread out. The sand is soft except for the rows of broken shells ready to stab your feet. We were out from 2-6 pm and there was lots of shallow water for little ones to play in. The pier was closed for repairs so pay attention for bathrooms when you approach the beach so you know where to go. Parking near the restaurants was a challenge. We were uncomfortable parking in people’s front lawn but that’s how it is. I recommend bringing food with you and turning left on Ashley. There was plenty of parking. We enjoyed the walk to the light house. The sand is soft and slightly difficult to walk in. Leave grandma in the car with the AC.
