  • Beautiful park. There are quite a few things to do. There's an area for kids to play and explore near a small pond. There's a visitor/information center where you can use the restrooms and look at stuffed wild life exhibits. You can purchase gifts and souvenirs there and learn about the animals and insects in the area. You can also grab some free brochures and resources. After you leave visitors center you can set up camp at one of the areas designated for camping. There are also cabins and a play ground. There is an amphitheatre but we didn't check it out this time around so I can't offer any information about that. Theres an abundance of trails to hike and explore; education programs and I believe there are also biking trails and horseback riding. I know that pets are allowed in the camping areas but I don't think they are allowed on the trails. During the winter i believe they offer snow activities but we have yet to explore the are any time other than summer. The scenery is lovely and its a fun trip to make at least once a year.. Our family and friends have a blast exploring the area.
  • My husband and I spent two nights tent camping on Prospector Ridge and sight 60 was perfect for us! We hiked the Outlook Ridge trail, and, apart from there being more hills than I anticipated, it was a beautiful and quiet hike. The woman who checked us in on 7/18 around 4pm was extremely kind and she even gave us granola bars! Her enthusiasm definitely set the tone for the few days we spent there. 10/10 recommend.
