The Kentucky Artisan Distillery is very unique place in the craft distillery world. The KAD is a contract distiller and bottler and currently serves as the home to three different brands. Our own brand, Whiskey Row Bourbon, is a pre-prohibition style bourbon that is only available in Kentucky. Highspire Whiskey is a 100% rye aged in used red wine barrels from Hope Family Wines in Napa, which contracts the KAD to make the product for them. And finally, the KAD’s most well-known brand: Jefferson’s Reserve Bourbon.

    Such a great experience and a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon talking with Tom about the history of their different bourbons. Everything is top quality and better than what you can find at the bigger distilleries. Loved the personal feel here.
