The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum is located at 215 S. Tejon Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The granite building with a domed clock tower was the El Paso County Courthouse building from 1903 to 1973. The museum, which moved to this location in 1979, has fine arts, artifacts and archival collections that document the Pikes Peak region. The staff there is informative & pleasant and there is no shortage of history or displays to submerge yourself into for hours. Along your tour of this museum, are spots to stop & play dress-up for a bit, while snapping some fun photos. Additionally, there is a gift shop inside so you can take a piece of history home with you. This museum is appropriate & captivating for all ages. Wonderful way to spend an afternoon and it cost nothing except for the parking meter out front!

The exhibits are informative and very neat! It was amazing to see the old carriages they have upstairs by the courtrooms. Beautiful architecture and friendly, helpful staff. Lots of stairs though, I was not made aware of any handicapped entrance.
