  • Sad because we could not go into any of the buildings but we could still walk around the grounds and see the original studio which was cool.  more »
  • We booked ahead for the 8:45 pm Sound and Light show. So peaceful. Still glimmers of sunset over the nearby Hudson as we wandered lit fields and enjoyed a video on a big outdoor screen. No buildings.....  more »
  • We had an excellent visit. The last tour of the day started at 1pm, which seemed early for a site that closed at 5pm. But there were docents in all the buildings to answer our questions. The buildings are very well restored and there is extensive display of Cole's art and writings. If you have some extra hours to spare, the three mile walk to Olana is worthwhile, but it is quite a climb to the house.
  • This place was great. The old studio, new studio and house were great. Everyone on the property was friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a great stop on our way from Albany to JFK airport.
