  • Brings overwhelming perspective to a terrible history in the mines. A fire took the lives of hundreds of miners trapped for over a week.  more »
  • Beautiful memorial and the view is wonderful. Very informative. Would recommend for anyone interested in Butte history and mining.  more »
  • We came as tourists, and were not disappointed. This place was amazing. It has beautiful views, memorial dedications all throughout and an interactive audio story machine. I came not knowing what I was getting into, and left feeling like an expert in the mining disaster that took place below the memorial site.
  • The history of Butte Montana and the mining industry has some wonderful stories to tell. The copper mining flourished and when WW1 began this industry supported the US. There was also a tragedy in the mine. Fire was accidentally stated in the mine which took the lives of 168 people. The beautiful Histoircal buildings are a historical gem.
