Herreshoff Marine Museum reviews
If you are a real boat buff, this is a great place although the America’s Cup part is falling out of date. Otherwise, it is a snooze. The family was at the heart of late 19th and early 20th century... more »
If you love sailing and history, this museum is a must. So many wonderful ships. The docent, Jeff, was extremely knowledgeable and made the visit very worthwhile. Lots of exhibits. Great value too. more »
We purchased tickets for their viewing party to see the Bristol, RI Independence Day Parade, the oldest in the nation. It was amazing! The provided covered seating, copious bottled water, breakfast and lunch, and toys for the kids (we have 2). The best part was the staff; they don't have diaper changing stations in their bathrooms, so they put a foam pad and sheets on a sturdy table in the conference room and even provided wipes! The staff were so friendly, thoughtful, and welcoming. It was just a fantastic experience, and we look forward to going back for more events.
We really went there to learn more about America's Cup sailing it's a subject that I am just now becoming familiar with since I live on a sailboat. Learning about Captain Nat and his blind Brother John building this fabulous company was very unexpected. Very enjoyable day walking through the museum and getting so much information.
